When you are planning your wedding album, one of the most important decisions you will make is what type of cover to choose. There are a variety of different covers available, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. In this blog post, we will explore the different options and help you decide which cover is best for you!
Why have a bespoke cover?
A bespoke wedding album cover is a great way to show off your unique style and personality. It also helps to protect your photos from wear and tear, making it a valuable keepsake for years to come.
Lets look at the variety of options available to you when choosing covers for your wedding album…
Natural / Lux Linens
Linen covers (natural or hand-woven) – these covers are made from natural linen, which is a material that has been used since ancient times. This classic bookbinding cloth is available in a variety of colours, making it easy to find one that matches your style. When you touch most natural linens, they feel soft and gentle.
Premium Pastel Linens
This uneven hand woven linen texture provides an individual touch that you won’t be able to find anywhere else! All colours are exclusively dyed by our team.
Genuine Leathers
Genuine leathers are the top of their class when it comes to durability and quality. Made from full grain Italian tanning processes, this style cover strikes the perfect balance between modern and timeless.
Leatherlikes
The best part about Leatherlikes is that they are an animal friendly, vegan alternative to real leather. The synthetic cloth resembles natural-looking material and has many of the same properties – which means you can still get that cool rugged look.
Velvet Premium
Velvet is a wonderfully soft fabric that’s also durable. This luxurious cover will make your wedding album look and feel amazing!
Flores Fabric
This is a soft-touch fabric that is perfect for a subtle and elegant look, with 10 varieties of colours.
Velvet Eco
This cover is similar to our Velvet Premium but with shorter “hair”, so even smoother.

What about the cover lettering?
Once you’ve chosen the covers for your wedding album, it’s time to start thinking about what type of lettering will best suit them. We are able to print any text onto covers using our in house printing machines – so whether you want a bespoke design or something more traditional like block capitals we can help! Here are the options…
Standard Embossing
Embossing is the process of stamping a brass type onto your wedding album cover at great pressure and temperature. This leaves letters permanently impressed onto its surface, making it an excellent way to add some personalization without ever having written in pen or pencil!
Cameo
The cameo cover has an aperture cut out of the front to display specially laminated photographs. You can choose whether it’s square, vertical or horizontal – all placed in a central location and customized for your needs with custom design options available too!
Cameo + Embossing
Cameo and embossing is a combination of the above two methods. It gives you the best of both worlds – a beautiful, tactile photo cover combined with a stunning lettering effect.
Custom Stamp
This is a great option if you need custom font, graphic or both. The only downside? It requires the creation of an individual die which may be expensive depending on what design needs there are!
UV Ink (Full Colour)
UV Mattes are a great way to personalise your album cover with an extra touch of style. The ink is hardened by ultra-violet light, so you can create detailed graphics or text without having any worries about getting a complicated die cut made.
OverPrint
We recommend using a special foil to make custom stamps that won’t dent the cover material. It’s available in gold or silver for those who want an extra touch of elegance on their book covers.
